The Ontario Motor Coach Association is promoting the 'go green" movement among its members. A new, sleek, black limo coach added to the fleet of vehicles at Joe Foley Bus Lines Inc. might be the first of its kind in the province. It's green and it is very high end. The company doesn’t think there is anything like it in Ontario.
The environmentally-friendly, executive-style excursion vehicle, distributed by Crestline Coach in Saskatoon, can transport up to sixteen people in complete comfort; a whole wedding party can ride together, and the bride doesn't have to scrunch up her dress to get in!
While the luxury look and comfort of the vehicle may appeal to the eye, the unique aspect of the bus is its emissions control. The Ford built coach has a special filter to reduce emissions that is sent away for cleaning every 150,000 kilometres. Operations manager Warren Savage said the fact that 16 people can ride in one vehicle is enough to reduce emissions. “It certainly reduces the number of vehicles on the road," he said.
Global warming, climate change, high oil and fuel prices have certainly shifted the focus to eco friendly vehicles; this even includes vehicles like limousines.
